Diablo 4: Annual Expansions will be available shortly

Diablo IV was a huge success for Blizzard Entertainment, with over 12 million players as of August 23. The new update uses a seasonal model, but extended versions are also planned. Series general manager Rod Fergusson recently confirmed to Dexerto that the team releases expansion packs every year.
When asked about the future of Diablo IV and the team's vision, Ferguson said "year after year." "When we look at the launch of the game and the first season, we think that's laying the groundwork for the future. So we'll be looking at quarterly seasons and yearly expansion packs. Those are the things we're focusing on for our live offerings.
"We have a plan. We have a story to follow in the future. We have a plan. We're always jumping and extending our season. We're excited.
"Looking back at the 11 years between Diablo 3 and Diablo 4, it feels like we didn't respond to the players, the community, or what they deserved. We're correcting that."
The developer has previously said there will be expansions, and two have now been confirmed to be in the works. But this is the first real confirmation of how often they will be released. Whether it will be released later this year, or at least an announcement will be made, remains to be seen. How much it costs is another factor, especially given the criticism of the game's monetization.
"Diablo 4" is currently in the middle of "Malicious Season", and on October 17th, the second season "Season of Blood" will be launched soon. Stay tuned for more details.
